I used to have Mattricks (sp) on one of my old machines but they were heavy and seemed to put allot of wear and tear on the machine. I see so many different styles of tracks now and most of them preach how lite the are. I still want something that is going to stand up to some abuse but I don't want to trash my machine in the process.

I think you'll find all of the tracks are going to add a considerable amount of weight. Even the lightest track when loaded with snow or mud is going to be a a weighty matter. I run the Prospector Pro S and they are 80lbs to the corner dry and clean, add wet snow and you can easily double the weight.
My suggestion is to look for a track system based on your needs, snow only, mud, four season, etc. and select the best fit and handling characteristics for the desired use. Tracks are an awesome addition to your ride, what you give up in handling and agility you gain in use days and terrain accessibility. But the grin can be wiped away in a moment when you have to walk out for miles on snowshoes or open your wallet for repair bills.
