I just got the clutch off. Here is what it looks like and what I think is the problem.

I took my clutch into the dealership over the weekend. They called me this morning and told me that the piece of metal I see is a bushing that spun out due to centrifugal force. They said it cannot be repaired so I guess I will be in the market for a new one.

I found a used one for a decent price, but it says it fits a "A00CH50(AA)(AB)(AE)(AF)(AH)(AK)(AL)(AC)(AJ)". It is part number 1321706. My vin is listed as 4XACH50A2YA107xxx. How do I translate between the numbers, or is the A00CH50 for the motor?

Thanks

Here is your clutch. Top

Look at this list its #17 http://www.cyclepartswarehouse.com/f...2000&fveh=5528

All those AA)(AB)(AE)(AF)(AH)(AK)(AL)(AC)(AJ is just color.

There is a odd #21 (bottom) clutch in there ,must have no EBS braking.

From the Pic and parts list I cant see what part can not be replaced.

That is kind of what I thought, but they said it cannot be done. I may go pick it up and just do it myself. I am thinking it may be part number 3 (spacer) or 7 (bearing) that needs to be replaced. Maybe it needs to be pressed in and they don't want to mess with doing it. I will be able to tell more once I get it back.

I found a couple of them on ebay ranging from $10 - $150, but they still have some time left.

The beauty about the used ones, is you just bolt it on and your done.

Good point. I will look at mine once I get it back and see how it looks. Even with a used one, I will still have to put my weights and maybe the spring on it.

Thanks
