According to the parts fiche Polaris part number is 7041499. Any Polaris dealer should be able to get you one,or likely might have one in stock..it's used in numerous ATVs and snow mobiles from 2001-2009...the same spring is still listed as the stock spring for a 2009 Scrambler.
Just an FYi..the above pic is just representitive of the shape..the stock spring is listed as silver.

Crocus cloth should work fine on the wheels as long as the nicks arent too deep. I nicked my primary when changing the belt, took some cloth to it, and it was fine.

FOUND IT!!!!

you guys were absolutely correct. I have taken the drive clutch apart to find a pretty bad mess. It was the spring! I think this setup may be an aftermarket, But I'm not sure yet, I'm still researching it. I have included some more pics so that you guys can see what I'm dealing with, And all the damage it has done. I may need more replacement parts than just a spring.

It looks like a Hot seat hypershift clutch kit.

Now for another question. Is this kit worth it? should I spend the money to replace the system? or take it back to stock? It costs around $240 to have it shipped.

My quad has a Stage III DG exhaust and has been rejetted.

You just broke the Ramp and Spring didnt you? As far as I can tell the spring are all the same price no mater what color tention you chose fom the sites I have looked at.

So if it was working for you just go back to a white or Silver spring or what ever it was. I think all the ramps are the same but I could be wrong.

looks like the previous owner improperly preloaded the secondary spring when they re-assembled it. they could have preloaded it too tight, or even backwards.

while you have it all apart, it really pays to replace the buttons as well as the other components.(helix and spring) they are cheap$.

I sent you a PM. The white spring looks like a Heel clicker clutch mod.

I have been thinking about my clutch issue. And I am leaning towards taking it back to stock, or going with another clutch kit. I'm not a huge fan of the clutch engagement delay because of the aftermarket spring and weights on the primary clutch. But the more I think about it, The more I am unsure of what to do.

This quad would be used mainly for trail riding and climbing some hills and playing around in a large creek.

What would you guys recommend for me?

2004 Scrambler
Stage III Exxcelerator DG exhaust
Stage 1 carb kit - not sure which kit, but previous owner said it had a Stage 1 kit.
I plan to stick with the stock tire sizes.

I weigh around 300 lbs
