Weird chunk of metal in my PVT Enclosure.

My understanding is that the stock springs are fine for your purpose. The White heel clicker spring will give better belt grab at slower speed with added wieghts, with the possible loss of performance at the top end. Most people I've seen with clutch kits ride 800 which have more power to play with. I'm running stock on my 500's and feel no need for a kit.

Your best bet would be to call Hot Seat and tell them what you have and what happened and get a new spring and helix.The old owner probably didn't do anything wrong,springs can and do fail.When you put the snap ring back on the chamfer goes in towards the helix(sharp edge outward).

I believe the stock spring was red, depends on elevation,ect. Replace the three buttons in the clutch while its apart and be sure to pre-load the spring by turning the clutch a third of a turn when you assemble it, good luck.

The parts are in. And the installation is going down today. I also picked up a Concentric Chain Tensioner as well, It should be an exciting afternoon!! I'll be sure to post more pics!!!
