Yes but the fact that the cushion is so thick up front will help alot. Outside to outside of the front lock and ride holes is approx 32".

Roofer- I this going where I think it is? lol She will have a machine to ride.
..IMO common sense applies I wouldn't ride 2 up in rough terrain or on sttep hills and as long as you realize the machine will handle differently it isn't a big deal to me. Of course it is illegal in some areas and that must be considered. I'm all about safety but to make a blanket statement that 2 up riding is unsafe period is a little much IMO

I didn't know it wasn't legal. It's legal here with a box like that. I thought maybe that's why you have it.

Do you fit on the seat ok with it on? The seat on the XP is a little shorter than most atv's.

It's not legal in some states..the machine must be designed for 2 riders in those states.
Yes I fit fine..that is another reason I went with a shorter box..even with and adult on the box there is ample room for the operator without feeling cramped. Then again I'm only 5'8"..I actually can slide back farther than I normally rode before I am touching the seat cushion.
My wife has ridden on it and so has my daughter..like I mentioned before the angle of the seat where it comes off the rack makes it so that an adult passenger tends slide forward unless there is a rider seated on the machine..as long as the rider is seated it isn't bad..but if the rider stands up unexpectly the pass will tend to slide forward.
That isn't a problem for my daughter..she is so small it is very comfortable for her..she loves it..probably would have slept there last night if I let her..lol

On a side note I hadn't seen anything about this box having handles and figured it did not..I was just about to throw out the box when I noticed something in the bottom of it..it came with handles..lol.

Now I can order without worry about the fit, thanks for all the measurements. I can see me during hunting season sitting back in some trees early in the morning with my feet up, leaning back--- SOUND ASLEEP!! Just like the earlier post with the 3 year old.

Any pics you can post of the inside of the box? I would like to see how you connected the mounts to the box. Thanks and great job!

I dropped and broke my good camera last week so all I have is an old crappy one(notice the halo around the pics lol) and the flash isn't working..I tried to get pics of the inside they didn't come out. I'll try again this time outside,as soon as I get a chance. But all I did was install them like they are on the XP front rack..drilled a hole put the anchor bolt through with the plastic washer on the inside and everything else on the out side, plastic spacer, then rubber bushing then washer and nut..

Do you know if the the anchors different from the ones on purepolaris.com? The ones there do not have a white top part.

They are the same basic design. You have an 800 right? Those from replacement anchors should work fine. 2 of mine are white 2 are black. I robbed the ones off my front rack and storage box just to make sure it would work before I dropped the coin on 4 anchors. If any thing I think the purepolaris ones might work a little better..just from looking at pics the spacer on those look a tad shorter and they would work if they were a little shorter. I called my dealer and he didn't have any of the replacement ones but told me to call back when the techs were in as they may have some takeoff XP front racks laying around(sound familair XP owners? lol) that he could get me some anchors off of..
