there is a plug under the front cover that has 2 wires. a brown, and a vio/white wires. they go to the fuel sender. i unpluged it and eveything that had to do with the fuel disaperd on the gauge. fuel level, gas gauge, the E and the F all gone when its unpluged. outa sight outa mind.
pick of the plug on mine:

Maybe because the tank isn't open straight down at the opening, I believe that mine has a ridge/hump right below the opening.

well i got a response from the dealer. said they could warranty it under "good will warranty" i also told them i wished i would have gotten the in house 6month warranty. and they said i could get it for $99 so think im gona do that this way i have an actual chance this summer to drive it and see if something else brakes!. i sent an email to polaris them selfs. and of couse all i got was a email saying take it to the dealer. so guess ill see how well it goes this summer. im just not likeing all this electronic crap they keep adding. not to mention im my opion it dosent make the wheeler better. just costs more to get the part. i like to good old days. igntion on/off switch, headlight switch. and i just noticed that the friking spark plug is under the fuel tank. thats got to be the dumbest spot. it was nice on my old wheeler it was easy access to get to. idioits!!!!!
