The Polaris oil change kit price compared to the price of mobil 1 and a fram filter is about 12 bucks difference. If you dont think theres a mark up on "Polaris" your crazy.

This is how I rationalize it to myself. Polaris oil vs Mobil 1 synthetic? What possibly could Polaris oil have in it that makes it better than Mobil 1? Havnt heard of anybody thats running some European car (running synthetic) asking where they can get some Polaris oil. I think if you use the right weight, name brand, change when needed, you will be fine.

 

the only reason i got mobile1 is it was on sale here, and i got a filter free when i got my $100 gift card to polaris. so all i needed was the oil.

i may or i may not get a oil change kit from polaris. if you use amsoil and a polaris filter. yes it is cheaper to just get the kit. but if i were to get the $6 a qt mobile 1 synthetic 0w40 (when its on sale) and get a filter it cheaper to piece it togetther. imo: oil is oil either its amsoil, mobile, etc. i say if you use what it calls for and do regular checks, and changes you will be fine. but maybe thats me. iv never had a issue with my last wheeler buying oil from a autoparts place and a filter either from there or walmart. but everyone has there own thoughts on whats good and whats not.
