Default 01 scrambler

I once owned a 01 scrambler and sold it to a buddy of mine. He kept it for a year and then bought a utv, and wants to sell the scrambler. He is selling it for 1500 and thats 1500 less then what I sold it for. I might buy it but here is what is wrong. The rear hub needs replacing and the front differential is acting up only three wheels are turning in awd. Should I buy it back or is it going to cost me alot to get this fixed. Thanks

This might be a better question for the Polaris thread.

buy it.

rear hubs are cheap. they can be had from ebay for cheap dollars, and i think they are only $40 new.

as for the 4wd problem. it probably just needs the front hub fluids changed. again, another cheap fix.

they way i see it, even after a few things to fix, your still money ahead. way ahead.

Noooot true. 200 bucks all together if you have to replace the whole thing. Bearings and what not you can get away with for under 100 bucks, with no labor. Just asked my buddy this night or two ago because my step dad is giving me the 400 sport I use to ride finally and the rear hub is bad. Long as you don't have to replace the housing it's not to bad.

Used ones on ebay you can get, but gamble if there in any decent shape. If there are ebay ones that cheap, I don't believe I'd want anything to do with them.
