Default Question about exhaust on a 08 800 EFI.

I'm looking at buying a 2008 800 EFI, has around 1100miles on it. I noticed the right muffler has rusted a good bit more then the one on the left, the guy at the dealership said this is normal. Is this true or is there a potential problem somewhere?

I wouldn't say that is normal for an 08 but there's no potential problem. It probably started rusting while still in the crate or wherever the current owner stored it because of high moisture.Just take it off, sand it and use some woodstove paint.

the rigt side muffler(looking at it from the rear) is the main muffler and has a feed tube that runs to the left side so the right side gets hotter. it may be the reason ,but either way it should not be any isssue. imo.

Thanks for the replies...since posting this I talked to someone else and they told me the same thing. I've always had Hondas and this will be my first Polaris, so I wasn't sure.
