1992 350L Ignition Timing

1992 350L Ignition Timing
I'm going to replace the stator on this one on Tuesday. Will the ignition timing need to be set? If so, can you let me know what the trick is to this on a 2-cycle? The flywheel isn't off yet.

Its been a while,BUT I think the 3 screws on the old 92 plate are not adjustable,just bolt a new one in,BUT if they are, should have a mark on the case to align stator with.
