Starter, starter drive or battery?

Had simialer prob with my 500. started out starting really slow(BATTERY FULLY CHARGED),then about a week later starter would just whine real fast.pulled starter out and put power to it sounded normal.Decided to pull drive out,yep it was frozen soild replaced it.All works good, now i have a problem with my solienod! hope this helps.
When you say "drive" are you refering to the bendix (starter drive)?
