Like my friend told me before I got in the tech support business he said " Don't break your bank going out and buying every tool you think you will need. Buy only want you know you need and build from there" Experience teaches you that you won't need every tool YOU BUY! And most of the time you only use the same set of tools for most jobs.

Regards,

R'

i used to be a gm mechanic before getting a job with the electric company. i purchased every tool twice that i could imagine. one for work, one for home. i had to take inventory for insurance and quit at $50,000. scared the living begeezes out of me. i have sold alot of the stuff i had since quitting the dealership, but now wish i kept some of it. when i worked on cars all day, the last thing i wanted to do was come home and work on anything. got into harleys and it kinda changed. different bolts i guess. now that i am not wrenching for a living, i got into the quads and dirt bikes. now i am taking on jobs as a hobby. if you are serious about this, buy good quality tools. stuff that won't break and then you break a knuckle from it. when i say quality, my junk tools are craftsmen. i buy them to grind on the wrench to fit into tight spaces, or heat them up to bend for a certain bolt. don't be discouraged by the cost. a good tool should last a couple of lifetimes. something to pass on to your kids and so on.
