recoil starter.... hee hee

Default recoil starter.... hee hee

Well i know this will be something to laugh at but im hoping there is a trick to this that i dont know about. So here it is..... Is there a trick to setting a new recoil spring back into place after I pull this out? 1999 500 Scrambler

just very carefully is the only way i know and its no trick as its tricky lol good luck and watch out for full uncoil mode.

New recoil spring should be wound up and a wire around to hold in place. Make sure you slip the hook end into the cavity cutout and push down firmly and wire should pop up and spring will seat in place ,IF you do it right! If it unwinds and slips,then a pain in the a** to rewind tight and lock in! Just take your time.
