We all know the faulted logic behind the theory of I'll wait on the purchase because next years model will better when that will always be the case. Just like the guys that says I am not going to buy that new computer because next year Windows 7 is out, or the processor will be faster or or or. ..... and if you buy into it that approach you will never enjoy the benefits of newer and better models. The 850 is awesome and there has been enough ink written about it so that point is pretty clear.

I almost started a post the other day to draw out the many XP owners on this site that have had no problems but figured that we all know there are lots of owners on this site and the problems are limited to a few. In addition what doesn't get posted in the information about these problems are some of the "small" details that lead up to a particular problem.

I think I share the viewpoint of most 850XP owners in that the quad is awesome and a blast to ride. Totally enjoy it and don't have one regret about purchasing it. It may not be for everyone but heck that is why they make slower quads.
Well said. I agree and love my 850. Fantastic bike. I'm happy that some people are waiting to buy the 850 or prefer other manufacturers. So long as that is the case, I will have people to pass on the trail... lol.

Wink New 550 xp

I have had my 550XP for about 4 months, no problems here. Sold my 04 700 twin and I'm not looking back! (only for my buddies that kept their 700's)

I would like to get some mud bogging reports as well as how good it pushes the
snow.

Any running aftermarket tires taking on some mud hole challenges?

Thanks,

R'

I've had my 850 since last Oct. and I plowed snow all winter (about 4 mi. of gravel road and driveways) I've been up in the mountains on skid roads and trails, played on a sandy beach along the salmon river, hauled bales of hay around my place and have changed the oil and cleaned the air filter. The Issues I've had? ZERO! No problems at all! I don't abuse it but ride it hard at times too. I'm very happy with my "first year model". Polaris for making a great machine!

Antarctica! Wow!

If I were in your shoes, I'd be glad to get home just to thaw out! My guess is you'll have a lot more to come home to
