Default Polaris ATV question?

Are the polaris trannies still a separate piece from the motor? Also did polaris ever make a 2wd ATV with IRS? A couple of buddies are thinking about building a custom Golf Cart and was thinking about using a polaris tranny and rear diff along with an IRS suspension and a front suspension off a 400EX that we have sitting around.

Thanks

They make the Outlaw 525 with IRS and it's a 2 wheel drive.

The trans. on my 07 x2 800 is a seperate part. It was replaced under warranty, cost about $1400. The part description was trans/gearbox. I have the part number on file if you want it.
