The short of it.
Sythetic is labatory made, conventional is refinded dinosaur remains.

petroleum oil molecules, as contrasted to uniform-sized synthetic oil molecules, vary significantly in size, shape and length. When your engine heats up, the smaller molecules evaporate, while the larger ones tend to oxidize and become engine deposits.

synthetics are custom-designed products in which each phase of their molecular construction is programmed to produce what may be called "the ideal lubricant." This process departs significantly from that of petroleum lubricants, whose physical components, both desirable and undesirable, are inherited from the crude oil from which they are refined.

Plus Polaris recommends synthetic oil for there quads they come from the factory with synthetic oil and there kits they sell are all synthetic . Read your manual see what it says about the type of oil your bike requires if you don't have one get one .

I would love to use it in my truck but it would but me broke at $10 per quart and I need 6, I do not think lazy V8 need it as much as high reving motors like street bikes, higher reving V6 or 4 cylinders and ATVs and such.

I do like using it in snowblower and lawn mores because synthetic holds it properties so much longer that I can skip a year on oil changes on nusant things like that in stead of changing it every year.
