Default oil leaking around air box

I have a 06 800 and it is using oil, i noticed the is oil leaking around the front of the air box were the intake enters the box. Its even a little oiley inside the rubber. The hose on the top of the engine was loose so i tightened it up, is my engine toast? Still runs perfect , no smoke and lots of power. any ideas?

sound like if your getting oil in the air box thur the throttle body that your oil rings may be bad letting oil come up from the base. just a guess.

Usually oil in the air box comes from the crank case vent hose. Happens if there to much oil in the ATV and excess oil blows in the air box or the ATV was on its side or even alot of steep hill climbing and descending.

Non of which will harm anything, there should be a drain hose and plug on the bottom of the air box to drain it out.

i would have suggested that too but when he mentioned "were the intake enters the box" and not inthe box itself it wouldnt seem like that was the case but i could be wrong for sure and its worth a look to see if you have too much oil inthe bike.
