Isn't the latest trend in snorkeling using flex spa type hoses? It seems like it would
be easier to work with as for bending and wrapping around things. Again I am only guessing as I have never snorkeled my bikes. I would like to know the art and at least
snorkel a few things for those deeper holes.
I finally seen the new ARCTIC MUD snorkeled stock quad at my local Bass Pro. I really wish Polaris would come out with that as an option on its futured models. At least it looks pretty good and I suspect it would be covered by their warranty. - IMO

that arctic mud pro your talking about spends more time stuck than anything else..the thing ways as much as a tank. we generally would send it out in a wash first to see how deep it was..after the lighter bikes started walking right through the stuff he got stuck on he always went last so we could pull him across lol

Question for anyone that goes in deep mud. I just serviced my polaris for the first time myself, and learned that there is a slit in a breather tube coming off the oil tank (on the engine side, top of the tank). You are required to prime the engine if you drain the remaining cup from the crank case out...
Anyways, it seems like water would steadily flow into this slit, right into your oil tank.. After learning about this, I am cautious to get too deep in mud or water. Is there a process to correct this if you plan on going into the deep stuff? In my opinion, it is a must if you want to keep water or mud out of your oil tank.

I've had mine in water to the bottom of the seat several times and I've had no problems.....
I worry more about water getting in around the pull rope handle than anyplace else...

I'd must say, I have had all three of my wheelers pretty deep like to seat level in the water and mud, and these Sportsmans really hold their own.
BUT (always a BUT, lol) I understand it only takes one time to get water
into somewhere to make the bike not run right or get it in the motor
engine oil, would not be GOOD!
If I could just seal off the common areas to better water proof it I would like to. I am not ready to snorkel yet, but not opposed to it either. Anyone know of any particular speciality shops that snorkel bike at a reasonable cost?
