05 Polaris help

There are tons of these scams on KIJIJI, Offering almost new quads for very used prices. When you email them or call they say they just moved out of country or they work on a cruise ship and will have the machine shipped to you. It's all a scam and stay far away from it. You send the money and by the time you realize your quad isn't showing up the escrow company has already paid the seller that is no where to be found or the fake escrow company has already vanished. There are many article out there on this topic. You know the saying: Buyer beware.

So what did you ever find out about this? The guy I'm buying from says he is in Wisconsin - said that it was too late to come pick it up - it was already in the hands of the shipper.
Wondering if you ever went through with it or not? efastshipment was his shipper too.
Please help - of coarse it's a screaming deal but makes me very nervous.

you bet it is
the scam that almost got me was a low price free shipping and both e mails said "I need liquidity to finish a house i'm building" and both messages called themselves a mssgt in air force. one of the bikes was actually very close to where i live then when i tried to look at it they were suddenly on the east coast about as far away from me as they could be one good way to smell out a rat is lie to them at first also tell them you live close and will be right over to look at it you will know right away, if they are real they will understand why you told them you live close, if not then you saved yourself some aches and pains good luck.
just an idea. otherwise deal with dealers on e bay only.
