Default How long do they last?....

I was just wondering what the life of a 2009 850 XP would be to some of you guys? I mean if I were to drop 10k on a wheeler I would want 6 to 8 years? ....That is with all the proper maintenence and just trail riding. No plowing or hard work. I am wanting a 550 or 850 but want to see how many miles/years an ATV lasts? For cars after 100k miles I usually replace it. What is the similar time in quad miles/years? sorry if this a stupid post but just wondering lol

Depends on the miles, a hard core High lifter Mud freak kind of guy can wear out a ATV in 2 years after 1000 miles, while mister trail rider and plow the driveway guy will have a ATV for 15 years after 8000 miles.

WOW I would hope so that works out to $1200 a year. Thats would be a exspensive sport.

I bough a 1989 4wd Big Bear for that much in 98 and put on 3500 miles over 6 years(Do not know original miles when I got it), I sold it 3 years ago and the person that is still riding it today.

I'm riding a 95. I don't think it's unreasonable to ask 15 or 20 years out of an ATV that isn't abused.

IF you keep one up they will last as long as you want to keep it.The trick is dont abuse them or they will be junk in no time.
