where would you install one on an 850xp?
why doesn't the factory include this on the digital display?

I put a Quadovator on my 700 it works good, fogs up and paint seems to peal a bit around the gauge on the outside (my atv never sits outside). Not sure on the quality there. And yes they should have a digital one in the cluster, like on skid loaders you can scroll through digital oil pressure, oil temp, hydraulic temp, engine temp and many others.. Just a thought.

Because the thermal switch turns the fan on and off automatically, kind of useless like putting a tachometer on a automatic tranny machine. OH wait the do do that. LOL

It would have been nice when my fan stopped working (wire harness grounded out in pod) I might have noticed the bike was getting hot before the idiot light. I ended up hot wiring the fan on to get back to camp. I'm getting the gauge, plus putting in my own switch to run the fan if I feel I want to, or I have another failure of the wiring or sending unit.

I find the temp gauges handy as like the other day I go through some deep water and once out my speedo is saying hot with the check engine sign on . Now since I have a gauge I look and its reading around 170 degrees so I know I'm not overheating . I shut off the machine restart and all is fine ( hot now not on ) so having that gauge told me I was not overheating even tho the bike speedo said I was . If you check my gallery theres a picture of my digital gauge there way more accurate than the other one .

Page 3 , you can even set it to flash you a warning when its starting to get hot giving you time to pull over and shut down . At least with this gauge it gives you the exact temperature your bike is at no guessing and looks great with the digital speedo . Very easy install at least on my 500 no fogging works great don't look cheep.
