um ftwflh thats not correct. as the older polaris atvs prior to about 05 theres the awd system in the hubs. you will need to take the tire off. the brake caliper off. i cant rember if i took my brake caliper off or not. use your own jugment on that. then the black cover off via 3 trox bit screws on the hub to get to the axel nut. you can either remove the allen head set screw on the houseing to drain the awd hub flued, or take the black cover off. then after taking the cover off remove the axel nut. you will need to remove the a-arm so you can move the whole shock and hub out of the way to take the axel out. there will be a roll pin by the differental. pound it out with a punch. and remove the axel. you may have to losen the shock nut at the top to get more room to move it out of the way. the cv repair will alike the rear cv boot repair. i beleve they are a sticky at the top of this forum. bla bla bla. then put eveything back they way it came off. not shure of axel tork specs. refill with polaris awd hub oil. then ur done.
