I have a 1998 SPortsman 500, and snapped a front CV joint, and i'm pretty sure I boogered up the male splines on the halfshaft.

I am thinking of selling the quad to upgrade to one a little newer, so I am trying to go the cheap route and get a used replacemnt axle...

When looking for a replacement halfshaft or CV joint, what years are interchangable with my 1998?

 

i beleve the 2000s and newer are differnt. so id say 98 99

 

I see on some of these ebay listing that up to 2001 are compatible, just want to get some verification before I order...
