never had one go out on a quad.. but i had one clickin on a car once... for like 6 months i ran her till i had the money to get a new one... i would go with gorrilla.. especially if you decide to raise the rear... they are only like 30.00 more i guess...

or you could check out turner cv joints... dunno how much they cost

Make sure it's the cv joint, and not the rear wheel bearing. We had a bad rear one pop for quite a while before we figured out that was what was wrong. Raise those back tires off the ground and move it around a bit and see if that's what is making the noise..

Unless, of course, you know that its the cv joint., then disregard...lol

i don't know for sure.. i just know that everybody tells me that they are bad about going out..
it does a lot more poping when the bike is going backwards.. the only time it pops going forward is when i'm making a hard turn..

You can buy the replacement cv hubs on ebay. If you are are going to keep your machine for any length of time I highly recommend upgrading to the Gorilla axles. They are more than worth the $. Ditto on checking your rear wheel bearings. Had a set go bad early on with my 05 800. You can get a pair of them on ebay for less than you will pay for one at the dealer.
