my 08 SP 800 started to idle real high, 1400 to 1600, would not go into gear(forward or rev.) very easy and thats after it was at opperating temp,brought it to my dealer, they changed the TPS under warranty, 350mi. now it still idles at 1390, they said thats normal,what does others idle at? it still doesn't go into gear like it should.

 

Others have told me that is a little high, but I notice that mine is in aroudn 1360 IF that helps ya any?

Mine was doing that for a while. I brought it back to the dealer while under warranty and they adjusted the idle. Now when it is warm she idles right at 1150 + or - some when the fan is kicking in and out. I don't think that is normal, seems too high for me.

 

mine was idling at 1400 it is suppose to be at 1180 +/- 100 acording to the service manual.talked to my dealer who is a hour away they told me to adjust the throttle stop screw and i did .now i have it set to 1200.really good dealer he said if i had any trouble just bring it in .i did it and it was easy.lots of people on here say you have to go to the dealer and adjust the tps and need a special tool.i took the chance and all is well 500kms since the change .way easier shifting.now im not saying this is for everybody but it worked for me.
