I love the HPD pipe on my TB except for the way the silencer mounts to the frame. It just doesn't seem real secure the way it only mounts at the front point. Has anyone else noticed this?

On my 400, the silencer is held to the pipe with springs, and bolted to the frame about half way down the silencer. Is yours different? I'll have to look at my buddies T'Blazer.

Mine is attached with springs as well but has 2 points along the silencer to attach to the frame. But, on the TB you can only attach it to the forward most point and there is nothing to attach the rear point to. I went riding today and did some jumping and its still hanging on. I'm sure it'll be fine, I guess I'll just have to fabricate another point to attach it to or quit worrying about it.

I bought a piece of 4'long angle, the type with all the holes on two sides and cut a piece about 6-8" long. I then drilled a hole towards the rear of the frame and used a long 3 1/2 to 6" bolt.
Use washers and a nut on the end that will bolt to the frame. Then with the threads that are left
alighn it with one of the many holes in the angle piece. Use washers and nuts on both sides, or in other words sandwich the angle between them. Now if you cut your angle long enough it should rest on the stock silencer mounting location. Then you can mount your silencer in two locations.
Anyway I painted mine black before I put it all together and it is holding up fine!!!!!!!!!!!!
