Hello

Does anyone use the Ultimate flow optimizer on a trailblazer or xplorer250 here and what do they think pro and cons? And also the Dial a jet by them.

Thx

A while back Someone posted a link to a complete review on these things on snowmobiles. I read the review and it seemed like they were very hard to install yourself. When they finally had the carbs tuned properly the u.f.o. equipped snowmobile made more power than the non u.f.o snowmobile, but used almost twice as much fuel. Ive never used one personally though

I have one on my G/F's Trailblazer. It required going to a 34mm carb (old one from my Sport) the smallest they make them in is 34mm. The throttle response from it was very much improved and seemed to make the 34mm carb work more efficently.

Installing it is easy enough. You only have to drill two holes in the carb's slide. I've found that the richest one works best for me. My main problem was finding the idle jet small enough to work with the UFO. It says to decrease the idle jet by 1/2 the size, and they are right. I went from a 30 idle jet to a 15. Just right. The snappier throttle response could be felt. Not as much hesitation and throttle lag as before.

Hey, it worked for me!
