ok so 3 months later I now have the engine torn down. I believe that this engine made a slapping type of rattling noise but see no evidence of it. The piston looks burned below the rings and slight marking on piston skirts and thats the only thing I see wrong. The clyinder actualy looks pretty good. But Im already here so I guess I need to bore it or not ??
I was looking at getting the smallest one I could get the .20 kit? What ya think?

If the cylinder has a little score in it have it bored out .20 over, put in a new piston, replace some seals and ur good

so do you believe this sounds like the fix for my low compression and possible piston slap noise?

yes..thats a 20 over kit...you might get away with a 10 over (0.010) best thing to do is take it to a shop thats going to bore it. they can tell you what bore you need to get the cylinder cleaned up..they will (atleast should) match the bore to the piston going in.
