Whats the best way to charge a Battery. I had left key in by accident with lights on and battery was dead.

I jumped it with my car and it fired right up . Left it running for 30 min and it still doesnt have enough in it to turn over to start again

trickel charge for least 24hrs. some trickle chargers will tell you when its full. but after a batery goes dead you have lost some of its life.
