I pay 240 a year for my 500 and 800 with full coverage on both. 500 is paid off and I owe on the 800. I am insured through Progressive and have been since I started driving. I also have my truck and wifes car insured by them.

I pay $139.00/ yr. for my XP 850
It breaks down to $10,000 ins. + $5,000 medical with a $250.00 deductible.
Very reasonable IMO!

Dublin, not to be a smart ***, but aren't you arguing against your own decision? There's a huge number of uninsured drivers, so you didn't insure against them? The savings can't be that big.

Whose going to hit me in the middle of the wilderness? It's an ATV that will be kept in one location with very little transporting, if any, and driven in the national forest. When I go 4 wheeling in this area, I'm lucky (or unlucky however you want to view it ) to ever see anyone. The biggest concern I have with insurance is covering theft as it's at a location that I visit maybe once or twice a month. So yeah, taking a bit of a chance but at the same time, there's very little reason to insure against collision/uninsured motorists in my opinion and situation. The savings was about $200/year by not going that route.
Cheers,

I pay $459.00 just for my 850 XP. We have a province owned insurance deal here. You have to buy from them. This includes comp and collision. My total for the year for 3 quads, 2 trucks, 1 car, and a utility trailer is just under $3,000.00/year!!!

OK it was painful insuring these xp's (apparently in TX everything is bigger INCLUDING INSURANCE ON ATV'S) - but I ended up switching all the cars and atv's over to Progressive. Another stab was having to pay (2nd time) for a speeding ticket I got last December.... (increased BOTH rates - cars & quads = sucks) but at least everythings done - I must have spent 9 hours on the phone yesterday.......
