Snaped Bolt

I ended up using a 5/16th drill bit through it and and then using a bigger EZ-OUT... I almost snapped that one to but it finnaly gave way. It was really coroded dut I got it out and got a new one in. rides great now.

Just had to do this with my 2000 Sportsman 500, gave it to a friend with a drill press and easy-out, did it in no time at all :-). I went to Polaris and got four new bolts, figured I would replace them all... we will see.

IMO, much easier and safer than most do it yourselfers could do. Were those bolts the gold colored grade 8's? Those are the better ones than the originals..

Yes, they were, and they were the same as the originals. So maybe I am silly for replacing them, but I am :-)

not silly at all. I am also going to replace the rest of mine. It is just a little preventitive matinance

I wish i would have seen this thread a lot sooner. Sorry. Those bolts have locktite on them. Use a butane torch to heat up the loctite, and they come out a LOT easier. Night and day difference.
