#21
in any case im adding a winch kill switch. so when the push tube hits the bottom of the wheeler it will kill the winch so it wont go up no more.

well i got a brand new front bumper/brush guard. fits great. paid total of $88 for it. but as i thought and was worryed about when i got it was this winter when im gona plow snow with it i may have to remove the bumper not a big deal. but would like some thoughts on what i can do. the winch cable will rub on the middle cross member. thus scraching up the paint. i was either thinking:
of A: finding a stainless sheet and riviting to the cross memer to prevent scratching.
or B: make a roller and mount it to the top of the cross member so the cable will roll over the bumper.
or C: either useing rop and tie it to the plows left and right pivit point on either side of the springs. then hook the winch to that.
any one have issues? thoughts?
and here are pics of it:

and the plow

i love the bumper tho. i just need to find 2 more led stars and mount them to the bumper on the sides just in front of the low beam headlights.

I remember for a couple years I took a piece of PVC pipe which had an inside diameter just smaller than the outside diameter of that crossbar, cut it to length, then made two cuts in it lengthwise to take out a section less than half the diameter and then snapped it over crossbar..It fit snug and never moved and was smmothe so it didn't harm the synthetic rope..

That's a great solution to the problem TomPoslu. I have the same year Sportsman and the same brush guard as the OP but my cable doesn't rub. I have a Glacier plow and the cable attachment must be farther forward.
