i do have a synthetic rope for it. but it will scratch the paint off. if there is dirt in the snow im plowing when it flyes over the plow and sticks to the rope its gona take the paint off. evon in time its gona be bare from it rubbing on the same spot and make a grove. also over time ill bet as much as i use it. its gona fray and brake that rope.

havent had the problem with the spring streaching. just the hook on one end bends. becuse i cut it in half. so now the temper is outa it.

in any case im adding a winch kill switch. so when the push tube hits the bottom of the wheeler it will kill the winch so it wont go up no more.

of A: finding a stainless sheet and riviting to the cross memer to prevent scratching.
or B: make a roller and mount it to the top of the cross member so the cable will roll over the bumper.
or C: either useing rop and tie it to the plows left and right pivit point on either side of the springs. then hook the winch to that.

any one have issues? thoughts?

and here are pics of it:

and the plow

i love the bumper tho. i just need to find 2 more led stars and mount them to the bumper on the sides just in front of the low beam headlights.
I make a roller kit that bolts around your bumper email me at gmcc324@yahoo.com if interested

I remember for a couple years I took a piece of PVC pipe which had an inside diameter just smaller than the outside diameter of that crossbar, cut it to length, then made two cuts in it lengthwise to take out a section less than half the diameter and then snapped it over crossbar..It fit snug and never moved and was smmothe so it didn't harm the synthetic rope..

That's a great solution to the problem TomPoslu. I have the same year Sportsman and the same brush guard as the OP but my cable doesn't rub. I have a Glacier plow and the cable attachment must be farther forward.
