Default Accessory Power Wire

Hey Guys, when I was hooking up my front led's, I used the accessory plug that had 2 wires going into it, I didn't use the plug, just the wires, and when I hooked the 2 from the machine to the wire for my lights, the lights and everything else worked fine, but when I went to load it up over the weekend, it wouldn't start, so I unhooked the wires, and hooked up one of them, and it fired up and the lights worked, so today I was checking it out, and one of the wires is hot and the other isn't, so I'm assuming it's a hot and a ground, but why would there be a ground up there too, or is it just for a specific accessory from Polaris?

Sorry for the long post,

Thanks in advance
