01 scrambler belt ripping question

Well my guy fell thru so I am in the market for a replacement. will a trail boxx 250 4x4 fit mine or any others or specificly a scrambler only ??

any polaris atv secondary will fit. just make sure its good shape.

But do you think If I got one off a 250 the internal parts are enough to hold up to a 500 or is just just a different spring inside ? I looked on Babbits and they have different part numbers between a few of them however they look exactly the same.

they are exactly the same. only thing that would be different would be the spring. you can change the spring to what ever you want.

that is only for machines equipped with EBS, belt comes off the same though

a new helix, spring and buttons should fix it right up. but, its probably cheaper to find a good used clutch on ebay or something.

he will also need to have both bushings changed in the clutch, keeps things sliding back and forth smoothly and true

spring rates and helix angles will be different

so I am better off just getting one off my year and model then ? up to what years were the same or universal ? I was looking to order one up today as a buy it now instead of waiting a week for it to end. just so I know. thanks !

Go to ebay and and see if you can get the whole secondary rear pulley off of a parted out Polaris ATV. Might be faster,easier and cheaper. Im sure other Polaris models Sportsmans,Magnums,Explorers,400 Scramblers or trail boss share the same Secondary as your Scrambler.
