Default Need help servicing secondary

I am servicing the secondary on my 2000 500 magnum. My buttons are shot and I am getting a new spring. Anything else I should do? When I put the new belt on before I took it apart it rode really high in the secondary. So it must have worn a little or something. Faces look good and the belt is the same width belt and length that I had before, polaris oem. Do I have to shim it and how do you determine how many shims to use? When putting the clutch back together preload 1/3 of a turn and anything else? Thanks for any help.
