For $250, maybe.
For $1,250, never.

Thx OB for the post. Yea I am just interested in hearing how good the product is?

Those who have the new XPs are really boasting about the EPS and say its phenominal.
So I really wonder if adding the power steering as an ADD ON would have the same effect?

Regards,

Seems like alot of money for power steering.

Probably cheaper getting a new bike with EPS. As I recall when I bought mine 2 or 3 months ago, there was only a $600 to 700 difference between an 850 with or without EPS.

Don't care how big and strong you are, EPS is completely worth it in my opinion if you are looking to buy a new bike. Have about 450km on mine and have gone on full day rides which include mud and never had sore shoulders or arms at the end. No more wrestling with the steering.

FWIW - I have purchased 2 850XPs withOUT power steering AFTER owning a Yamaha 700 with EPS. The EPS on the Yammi was a godsend compared to the '05 700. Both me and MrsBMQ felt that the EPS on the POPO was too much assist and left us feeling too disconnected to the trail. The first XP was the first one sold in NH. The second was purchesed 5 months later in Feb - later enough to know the difference.

It seems like its always a crap shoot! I know the price is hard to swallow but again much like Bluequad is pointing out is the diff in riding the bike with or without it and compared to other EPS quads. I guess one thing is for sure, NOT ALL PRODUCTS ARE EQUAL!

Again anyone out there have one of these or know someone else who added it to their Sportsmans?
