Please help... Ball joints?????

the easiest way to get the ball joint out is take a inch and a half pipe and a big washer and cut the pipe to so you can thread the nut on the ball joint with the pipe and washer around it and with a inpace gun it will come right out and lube the new one and tap it in with a hammer nice and easy





do not heat the housing because the it will weakin it and will brake alot easier that it should

When you heat aluminum use a heat gun not a torch and you wont hurt it.
The very best way to change these is with the proper tool that extracts them and instals them.

thanks to all finally got it out! tried the pipe first but ball joint to wore out shaft would just spin when tryin to tighten with impact. HEAT GUN AND VISE won the battle, that worked out well. have not tried to install new yet but just wanted to thank everyone for there help on this. looking forward to all the advise on my next problem THANKS AGAIN

Question size

are all ball joints on these bikes (2000 scrambler 2X4) pretty much same size? been lookin on ebay and can really only find a listing that says must models from 89 - 00 but in there listing for scramblers is the 2001 4X4... Will this ball joint fit 2000 2X4????

All the ball joints are the same
