My dad has an opportunity to buy a left over 2001 scrambler 500 2wd. For some odd reason, polaris calls it a 2001, but it doesn't get the upgrades. It will however, have the upgrades in a 2002 modle, that will be avaliable in may. He can wait until may and get one with the upgrades such as brakes, steering post support bearing, redesigned clutch cover, etc. Is it worth it to get the "left over" 2001 modle now, or get the upgrades, pay a little extra, and wait until may for a 2002 modle. Are the improvements noticeable?(such as brakes, and steering play) On my dad's previous polaris's, the tie rod ends wore out and the steering was loose at the lower support bearing. Is it any better than previous polaris's? It is weird that polaris puts out it's modles eariler than other manufacters. Anyway thanks, and oh yeah, the reason I'm doing this post is because my dad isn't too good with the computer or typing yet. Thanks
