The Odyssey batteries are built to take the abuse, have a long shelf-life/low self discharge rate and longer life, and have greater capacity than standard batteries. They are sealed and can be used in any position. They are perfect for quads.
Yes it does ,Since I bought it in 2006.
With close to 3000 miles on it with the Polaris battery.
So this makes me think any normal battery will do for my replacement, Wal-Mart comes to mind right now.........caper.............

I switched to Carquest Extreme AGM battery and it is awesome. Huge improvement over the stock battery and the AGm batteries are designed to take the abuse and vibration from an ATV.

Caper, whats Wally-worlds prices? And can you get them in the local stores or have to buy on-line? I think my cuz said he couldn't find the same ones with the dims and terminal posts on top Vs side or vice versa (can't remember). If you or anyone has a part number/sku # to ref I would like to check that out too.

Thanks a bunch guys, great thread with good info.

P.S I really don't want to pay over a hundred for it!

I think he means Walmart, at least that's what we call Walmart around here. No idea about there prices, but I would guess around $50-$75 from what I have seen there. I would stick with the Autozone Duralast if you cannot afford the Oddesy and there is an Autozone around you.. They seem to be reliable and decently priced.

Yes WALMART=WALLY WORLD! Sorry for any confusion.

So I just called AutoZone on the phone and they are like the most UNHELPFUL people
in the world. Their computer system is only for automotive and they need to look
at the battery before giving me a price or availability, so I guess I need to pull it out
just to take it up there. Ho hmmmm

Regards,
