Mine started making a funny noise the other day and I took the rig into the dealer. I guess "popping" sounds roughly correct, but does not fully describe the sounds. I'd say it's more of a grinding and poping sound that only occurs when the rig is turning. Lift it up on stands and you will not hear the sounds.....push it with the engine off and turn the wheel and you might hear it. Dealer called Polaris and Polaris immediately said to swap them out. Very pleased with Polaris response.

Max, Just call the damn dealer and tell them you want them swapped out....period. You don't want one to "break" while you're 20 miles out. Polaris will take care of you. If dealer does not respond, go to another dealer for service. Most dealers will gladly take care of the problem for your future business, regardless of whether you bought it from them or not.

Ride it up onto a gentle grade, kill the engine, put it in neutral. Then push it forward, turning the bars from side to side.....if it's an "issue" you'll hear it popping and grinding on a regular rotational basis. Mine is fairly loud and noticeable, to me anyway.
