after reading the other post, did you check to make sure the needle and seat wear both still good when you had it apart and then as mentioned check to see if the float level was correct?

Probably going to just have to go ahead and rebuild it.
Heck, the kits are only like $25 and have all the needles, gaskets, rings, and sundry items.
Mine was doing the same thing and it cured all it's problems.
Or if you don't feel like mucking with it, you can take the carb in and have it done, since it's out anyway at least you'll save some money by not having them charge you the time it takes to get it off the quad.

Everything looked good and I checked it over a bunch of times. The rebuild might be the way to go. I was told that it could be a vent line but how could that be??

It is a shadetree solution but has worked for me. Take a Q-tip with some fine valve grinding compound and clean the needle seat. You may have to remove some cotton so it will fit into the seat and spin it around. Wash it out good with carb cleaner. Check to see if the float is cracked. It could have gas inside and will not float correctly.

i guess everything works fine as your doing it. if this persists, try contacting a much more experienced mechanic in your area.

Im going to pull it off one last time and clean the whole thing again re-check it, check and make sure the float floats in gas and then put it back together and if that doesn't work burn it lol....I talked to our dealership here and they dont sell re-build kits for it and they have no clue why it would be leaking only at high rpms out the overflow tube....

OK think I found my issue here boys....I took the carb off again tonight and I cleaned the living heck outta it and I stuck it all back together and it still leaked and then I got looking at the boot that comes off the carb to the block and its got one wicked tear in it so when I throttle hard on her the crack opens way up sucking in air. I have a new one on order. Ill fill ya's in once I have done!

Rage: that tear in the carb boot s/h nothing to do with your carb leaking - BUT it definitely will have your engine running way too lean, which is not a good thing! Take a look at your spark plug - if you've been running it that way for a while, your plug tip is probably white.
