Default 01 325 magnum starter sticking

I just bought an '01 Magnum 325 and after it starts, it sounds like the starter is still engaged for a couple of seconds, is that normal for a Polaris or does the starter need to be replaced? Anyone, Anyone!!

My wife's 02 magnum has done that for years. 1-2 seconds it seems like. As long as it's not going much longer than that I would'nt worry to much about it. Be sure to check in ignition switch for mud or debri. This spring wife went to start it and just kept cranking. It had some dirt in it and was sticking. Sprayed some WD-40 down in it and all is good.
