Default 2003 Scrambler 500 PLEASE HELP!!!!!

I am having some issueswith my scrambler......i ride it perfect for about 15-20 minutes then all of a sudden it backfires then stalls out on me....during this period i can tell the engine is hotter then usual but the radiator light never comes on....i try using the ignition to start it but it doesnt work...i try pulling the starter and that dosnt work....once it has sat for about 10 minutes i can use the ignition start and fires up fine but still runs hot....it has done this twice now.....The scrambler is in mint condition and has never had a problem...Please some one help me

Sounds similar to when my bro's CDI box crapped it's self on his LTZ400, but it would only do the no-start for 10 minutes deal after you shut it down. But that sounds kinda electricalish to me. But before you go on a gremlin hunt I'd definitely try changing the gas also if it does the no-start deal, while you're waiting your 10min before it'll run again pull the plug and see if ya have fire.
