Big Horns for sure. They are a quality tire with a good ride, versatile and tough.
Sometimes it pays to spend a little more up front, to get a better product. JMO.

For those who have said to go with the bighorns...

Should I go with the original or 2.0? What's the difference?

Thanks.

Most are conservative and get the original Bighorns because they are very proven. Others get the 2.0 which doesn't have much for reviews yet.

The tread pattern is slightly different, no white letters on 2.0 and the 2.0 treads are spaced more.

I went with the originals because I like the white letters and I like to have a tire that is proven. It's important when you get 20-25 miles back in the woods.

The originals have much deeper lugs and more rubber - for me that equates to better protection, might save a rim. As someone else said above you don't want them failing in the middle of nowhere. One of my buddies hit a rock two weeks ago and popped his rim and that was the end of the ride. Unfortunately we had 15 miles back to the truck - long slow ride in the dark. He's jealous of my Big Horns and HID's.

One other thing; don't wander off without your GPS, especially in the dark.

For almost every size the 2.0s have the same lug depth as the originals...25/32's. The main difference seems to be that the 2.0 lugs are smaller in surface area,ie lugs are thinner looking at the flat surface..basically just wide as from side to side...ie more space in between the lugs(more bite, easier clean out but probably a little faster wearing)...that seems to be where the little bit of weight savings comes from.
IMO either one are about as good as a trail tire gets.
