Default How many miles on your 850xp belt

We have all heard about belts braking with low miles on their 850XPs, What I want to know is how many miles on some of the 850xps with the belt still in tacked?
Just curious If some of you out there are getting up to or close to the 5000 mile belt life Polaris says they have.
I don’t want to start a rant about low gear vs. high gear and all that just if anyone has high miles on their existing belt.
Thanks

I have close to 600 miles, and it looks like new. I took it out the other day and measured it for wear really nothing I could pick up with a Vernier Caliper. I did put a clutch kit in briefly, all that did was give me a bunch of low end slip in high, better launch though I guess, took the kit out at 50 miles of use, before it wrecked my pulleys. Now it is fine again with the stock setup back in! If you drive them "normal" I dont doubt you could get 1000's of miles out of a belt, from what I have seen so far.

Not sure about a XP but being that a belt is only $80 and takes 20 min to change who would want a belt with over 2000 miles on there ATV anyways let alone 5000? I would just change it every 2000 miles for just peace of mind.

Wow 600 miles is the most anyone has on one belt? come on guys there must be more of you 850xp guys out there that have put some good miles on their ATV's by now. With all the bad stories out there about belts braking with low miles I was hoping to hear some good ones about high miles on one belt.

Wow my belt is $80 Canadian even at the dealer. Never see a belt that cost more then $100 even on 100+ hp sleds . Must be a aftermarket belt available out there somewhere for the XP.

the belt is made by MBL that is why it is so expensive. and yes there are belts out there that can cost close to 200 american dollars

It just sounds like a Polaris mark up ripp off to me. My dealer wanted $360 for a Rad fan made by Spal of Italy for Polaris ,I bought the "same" Spal fan ,model number and all for $88 from Spal themself. So Polaris can do it with there belts also.

I payed $80 for a 170 hp Ski-doo MachZ belt from Dayco and thats as strong as it gets for a CVT system belt. Carlisle makes a Max3 XS809 belt for $100 for a Polaris 800 Dragon that Polaris wants a $180 for a there OEM belt.

Maybe MBL sells the belt themself like Spal does its fan so you can beat out the Polaris middle man.
