I am haveing trouble removeing the pins in rear caliper,anybody have any ideas.

Rear brakes on the Xplorer are very easy.You will see 2 one half inch size bolts,remove both of these,pull the entire caliper off the rotor.You will see a guide pin and spacer for the pads,remove this,the pads will fall out.

Loosen the master cyclinder cap slightly,Squeeze BOTH pistons back into the caliper as far as they will go,reinstall new pads and spacer,dont forget the guide pin,install both bolts onto caliper,tighten master cyclinder cover cap, pump your brakes a few times and your on your way.Good luck,

What year of Explorer do you have? It makes a difference if its a concentric drive on non concentric drive.

I removed the pins by mig welding a mound on top of the pin and then useing vicegrips twisted the pin until they broke free,then i was able to withdraw them.
