The Jackal- All Purpose atv Tire
#2
Good question, ZoomZoom. While I know nothing of "Jackal" tire performance, I wonder: who named it?
The jackal is a vile beast that dines upon carrion (that is to say, "road-kill," rotting carcasses of animals who usually met their deaths by means other than the jackal). Are our Chinese most-favored-nation trade partners (thank you, Mr. Clinton!) enjoying a cosmic joke at our expense? "American Jackals" appears a popular slogan on signs carried by Iraqi demonstrators, as seen on CNN.
What's next? The "Hyena?" (Another disgusting creature, given to eating foul, putrefying flesh, cannibalism, and sister-killing-sister.)
Maybe the "Buzzard?" Or, upgrading somewhat, the "Vulture?" Although considerably more respectable, animal kingdom-wise, the "Skunk" can't be far behind.

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the Jackal tire by Cheng Shin a knock off of the Max Tread which was popular on the Honda 300 fourtrax a few years back?
I wish that the Cheng Shin Company would do a little bit of reasearch and "knock off" some better tire designs than they have been.

Gee... Those descriptions are nothing like the picture in Dirt Wheels mag except for the beast. Jackal sounds like my truck jack also. Anyway they look like a decent tire but when I buy some new rubber, I'll choose Maxxis or Bear Claws if I can find them.
