Default HELP! Sportsman 800 has no power!!!!

My husband borrowed his cousins 800 to go hunting and he was looking at some deer when he hit a rock and the atv flipped him. He broke his leg in 4 places. Anyways now he is out of commission for a while but the 4 wheeler is driving him nuts. The only place that it is broken is all the plastic around the high beam headlight has popped apart all of the stuff there is exposed. The problem is we cant get it to start. When we turn the key there is no power at all, no lights or anything. Does anyone know where to start to fix it???? ANY help at all would be great! Thanks

well, I'll pm you with a download to the service manual, that should help a lot, but I'd check the fuses in the front box, and also is the speedo glass broke?

Thanks. The speedo glass is not broken. Do you know if the polaris' have a rollover sensor? We had 2 that were rolled (my husband is an adrenaline junkie ) but they all started right back up but nothing was broken on them. One was rolled into the ocean (miraculously we got it to start) and the other was just rolled numerous times by everyone who rode it.

I don't think they have a roll over sensor, I have had mine rubber side up a few times and never had any issues. Have you checked the batt. wires to see if they got nocked loose or maybe there broken, also turn the key on and try to pull start it.

start w/ the battery source for power and if ok there go up to see if the switch got damaged or the kill switch is either on or not letting any power go thru the switch.
