Has everyone forgot that the 2010 only has one rear brake and it looks like the 2010 sway bar will bolt to the 2009 and it's only about $25

Dont be fooled by one brake on the rear when you are going 40MPH let totally off the gas grab the hand brake (if you need it) and it will surprise you how well it stops. I do not like sway bars on atv it limits travel in the suspension.

You can not just buy a 2010 swaybar and bolt it to a 2009..the A-arms at a minimum are different...
With that said bending the 2009 swaybar is easy and causes no problems...you can't even tell it's been done, other than wider tires fit. Back before it became common I bent mine and later had it at the dealer. I pointed out the 11" tires on stock wheels and said "You know how I got them to fit?" He looked at close it for a minute and said " Did you put washers beind the wheels" lol...

Haha, had mine at the dealer......they noticed the tires on the stock rims, but didn't even mention about how they fit.
The salesman was trying to tell me that the XP has a different bolt pattern than the previous sportsmans.....lol

Not knocking you, but I guess everyone is looking for something different. When I bought my 2010 850 XP EPS, I test drove both an EPS model and non-EPS model. To me, it was a no-brainer, I had to have the EPS. Now, with over 600 miles on it, I'm even happier with my choice. The tightest, most twisted, treed trails I ride are very easily manageable with one hand on the bars. At the end of a four to six hour aggressive ride, my arms and shoulders feel like I've just started the day. I'll NEVER buy another quad without some type of EPS.

IMO Power Steering is down played by those who don't have it and haven't really experienced how nice it is...I did the same thing before I had a PS machine...yes the non-EPS XP steering is very light for a non-ps machine...but it still isn't anything like Power steering...Power steering on ATVs is the best thing since electric start lol..

H.O., I couldn't agree more. After only about 200 miles on my 850 XP EPS, I jumped back on my '03 500 SP for a ride. Within 100 feet, I was thinking to myself that something is wrong with this quad - the steering feels like it's siezed up. The difference is really that profound.

Terb, I'm not quite sure what you think will work for you. If you want to upgrade to the 2010 swaybar, you will also need the 2010 a-arms. Then it will work for you.

No offense taken - and yes, I haven't even driven an EPS. I am just so impressed with my 850XP I cannot speak badly about it. I can see where the EPS would be worth it. For now (and a few more years) I will enjoy what I have - noe regrets! Can you imagine what the 2014 Polaris is gonna be like! Only problem is - what will they cost????
