Default 09/10 850xp EPS

I finally came to the conclusion that I want a Polaris 850xp EPS, now I have to decide what year and color. Please help!!

I could get a red 09 850xp eps for $8,300+tax (im in NJ 7% Tax). Because they have this sitting on the floor and need to get rid of it.

However, I really like the stealth black but really no one has this ATV, they would have to search for it they're coming up with prices like $9,700.00 + Tax!! For an 09..

I have a found a few places in P.A. that are willing to work deals on 2010's black-- and what is nice about P.A. is I would pay no TAX.. I would probably be close to 10k due to no rebates on the 10's.

My question is, were they any major upgrades to the 10's. If so what were they?

What do you guys think about the colors: RED VS BLACK... Everything I own is black, all black cars, black truck, I just don't want the red to stand out like a stop sign..

Lastly, what would be considered a firm price for either an 09 or 10?

Thanks for your help, im very excited to buy this ATV i just dont want to screw this upppp!!

A few difference in the 2010s,the only one that I know of that I would really call an "UPgrade" is the sway bar being redisigned to fit wider than stock tires on the rear...

I don't know how far you are willing to travel for a 2009 Stealth but Performance East in Goldsboro NC has one listed as being in stock $8287

WOW, good find! Thank you!!

I probably upgrade the tire size once I wear down the stock set up .. Would I be able to upgrade the sway bar myself or did they do a major redesign??

Lowest price I have yet for an 2010, stealth black is $9,300.. Is it worth an extra 1k.....

You can ship one for around $500 - $600 (tax would cost you $581) and you would get exactly what you want. If you spend $$$ get what you want. The 850 is an incredible machine. Call them and talk up a deal. This is a great time to be bying an 09.

Sounds like you really like black good choice.I went with the 2010 even though the 09 are cheaper just wanted all the updates which are like Highoctane said. I would shop around too! Not sure if you ride a lot being how its winter but that 6mos warranty can get eaten up sitting till spring. My dealer gave me 6mos extra warranty for an extra 100 bucks something to think about.

GAS how much did you pay for your 2010, if you dont mind me asking? I want to get the ATV for the winter as I own a Brick Paver Company and winter means snow removal, I have one large commercial account..

What other upgrades besides the sway bar?? And can you swap out the 09 sway bar with the 10?

Thanks for everyones help..

The sway bar can be easily modified. HO will probably post the thread.

They relocated the battery, have different wheels, different sway bar, and a few other minor things. None of which, I would spend the extra money on the 2010, especially $1500. If it was under $800 difference I would think about it, just for resale.

Let's just say this.....I would not trade my 2009 non EPS for a 2010 EPS model, if it costed me $1500 more. Just not enough improvements for 2010, IMO.
